What to Expect

Visiting a church can be very intimidating. It helps to have some idea what to expect. Do they want visitors? Will I be welcome? Are they weirdoes? Will I make a fool of myself? I don't know what they do?

Well, we do like to have visitors. You will be welcomed by friendly people who desire an intimate relationship with God and are pleased to have others join with them who search for the same thing.

Our meetings include prayer, praise, worship and a presentation of a Biblical message for encouragement, correction and hope.

We pray that God would be present in our meetings, to help us to focus on Him and to receive His will and guidance.

We sing to help us remember who He is and enhance communion with Him. This is called praise and worship and expresses our faith as well as strengthening it.

The presentation of the Biblical message is divided by an intermission at which time announcements, reports and the reception of offerings are received.

During our meetings The Holy Spirit may utilize someone in the operation of a gift. This is a wonderful expression of God's presence and serves to give us direction and hope.

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Communion, a time specifically to remember what Jesus has done for us and the forgiveness He offers us.

At the conclusion of the message there is a time of prayer that may include praying for various needs of those who may come forward.

We conclude with prayer and each soul spends time praying and meditating on what the Lord would speak to them, when they feel that the Lord allows them to leave they are dismissed.

I hope that you will visit with us and if you don't have a home Church you will feel the Lord encouraging you to join us in His ministry here at Pembroke Assembly.0.
